Having created the Earth, Sky, messenger, Allah wants to create another creature who will are believed to inhabit and maintain the Earth as a place of residence.
Adam is a creature, the first human being created by God.
And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels, "I will make Khalifah on earth." They said, "Is that man; will you destroy and shed blood there, while we hymn Thy praise and sanctify Your name?

Post-creation of Adam, God wanted to eliminate a cynical view of the Angels to Adam, and assured they will be the truth of wisdom about the Caliphate Adam on earth.
Humans who come from the land it has the virtue of exceeding other earth creature.
The creature was able to keep the memory that has been taught by God.
